چکیده
The limitation of fossil fuel sources and negative environmental impact persuade scientists around the world to find a solution. One possible solution is by using renewable replace with an inexpensive, fast, effective production process. objective this study investigate biodiesel from crude Reutealis trisperma oil conventional ultrasonic bath stirrer method through esterification transesterification result shows that most reaction time optimum condition for at 2 h 30 min method. conditions temperature 55 °C 60 2% (v/v) sulphuric acid catalyst concentration 0.5 wt.% were methanol-to-oil ratio 60%, agitation speed 1000 rpm. This gives highest yield 95.29% biodiesel. results showed had more effect on needed than reduced half time. Finally, properties fulfilled ASTM D6751 EN 14214 standards density, 892 kg/m3; pour point, ?2 °C; cloud ?1 flash 206.5 calorific value, 40.098 MJ/kg; 0.26 mg KOH/g.

Biodiesel production from neem oil using two step transesterification
Currently, most of the biodiesel is produced from the edible/refined type oil using methanol and alkaline catalyst. However, large amount of non-edible type oils and fats are available in our country. In this study, crude neem oil is used as alternative fuel for biodiesel production. The difficulty with alkaline transesterification of these oils have contained large amounts of free fatty acids ...
متن کاملHeterogeneous catalysis for sustainable biodiesel production via esterification and transesterification.
Concern over the economics of accessing fossil fuel reserves, and widespread acceptance of the anthropogenic origin of rising CO2 emissions and associated climate change from combusting such carbon sources, is driving academic and commercial research into new routes to sustainable fuels to meet the demands of a rapidly rising global population. Here we discuss catalytic esterification and trans...
متن کاملBiodiesel Production from Chlorella protothecoides Oil by Microwave-Assisted Transesterification.
In this study, biodiesel production from microalgal oil by microwave-assisted transesterification was carried out to investigate its efficiency. Transesterification reactions were performed by using Chlorella protothecoides oil as feedstock, methanol, and potassium hydroxide as the catalyst. Methanol:oil ratio, reaction time and catalyst:oil ratio were investigated as process parameters affecte...
متن کاملProduction of Biodiesel from Sludge Palm Oil by Esterification Process
Sludge palm oil (SPO) is an attractive feedstock and a significant raw material for biodiesel production. The use of SPO can lower the cost of biodiesel production significantly. In this study biodiesel fuel was produced from SPO by esterification process using P-toluenesulfonic acid (PTSA) as acid catalyst in different dosages in presence of methanol to convert free fatty acid (FFA) to fatty a...
متن کاملProduction of biodiesel from non-edible Jatropha curcas oil via transesterification using Bi2O3-La2O3 catalyst ABSTRACT The simultaneous esterification and transesterification of Jatropha curcas
The simultaneous esterification and transesterification of Jatropha curcas oil (JCO) was carried out in the presence of Bi2O3 (1–7 wt.%) modified La2O3 catalyst at atmospheric pressure. The catalyst were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), BET surface area, desorption of CO2 (TPD-CO2) and NH3 (TPD-NH3). Under the optimal reaction condition of methanol/oil molar ratio of 15:1, 2 wt.% of ca...
